With gratitude to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for a special waiver, we will NOT have to schedule a make-up day in place of May 22, 2026, when we had to cancel school. As a result, the final days of school are as follows:
PreK Students: June 17 (Last Day of School)
Elementary Schools: 1/2 day on June 18, No School on June 19, 1/2 day on June 22 (Last Day of School)
Gateway Regional School: 1/2 day on June 18, No School on June 19, 1/2 day on June 22, 1/2 day on June 23 (Last Day of School)

We look forward to finishing the year strong and celebrating the important learning of our community!

Today, May 22, 2026, Gateway Regional School District will be closed. Our main campus in Huntington will be without water until a repair can occur later today or tomorrow. To keep consistency, all 3 schools will be closed today.

All before, during, and after school events are cancelled today, except for our Gateway Regional School Prom, which can continue as planned at an offsite location.

Please await word from your principal on the rescheduling of other activities that will not be able to happen today.

We fully anticipate returning on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
