Our Honor Guard got a very nice letter today from the family of Gary Koontz. Along with that letter was an extremely generous check for $300. Thank you very much for your kind words and support. The money will be used for the upkeep and restock of our equipment.

On Friday January 13th, Huntington Fire Dept. Honor Guard had the privilege of participating in the service for Retired Firefighter Matt Layne. We do our best to provide the most professional service we possibly can for our brethren. Today, the HFDHG received an anonymous donation at our Credit Union. This money will go to the upkeep of supplies and ensuring we have the correct tools and equipment to continue to do our duty for our fallen comrades. On behalf of the members on the Honor Guard, I want to say thank you.

On September 6, 2021, the Huntington Fire Honor Guard had the privilege of assisting other local departments in honoring the life and accomplishments of Firefighter Davey Robertson. Davey will be missed by many for years to come.
