The city of Huntington Beach operates 3.5 miles of some of the finest coastline California has to offer. Stretching from Beach Boulevard to the south and Seapoint Street to the north, the city boasts many attractions. Additionally, spanning 1,856 feet into the Pacific is Orange County’s largest pier. Beachfront amenities include food and rental concessions, restrooms, outside cold showers, 25 voll
eyball courts, over 100 fire rings, and a 2,400 space beach parking. The beach curfew is 10:00pm to 5:00am and is strictly enforced. The attended beach parking lot closes at 9pm daily while the metered lots on the north and south side of the pier close at midnight. Lifeguard service is provided during all daylight hours 365 days a year. Parking Info:
Day use parking is $15. RV’s over 20ft must pay for two spaces and may not occupy more than two spaces. Metered parking is located at 6th street (north of pier plaza) and just north of 1st street (south of Dukes). Daily rates are $1.50 an hour with a $15 daily maximum. Metered Parking:
Parking meters can be found along Pacific Coast Highway between Goldenwest Street and Beach Boulevard. Meter rates are $1.50 an hour. Main Promenade Parking Structure:
The city owned parking structure is located at 200 Main Street in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach. Entrances can be found just east of Main Street on Walnut Street as well as Olive Street. The structure has capacity for 830 vehicles. Validations are accepted from various downtown businesses and cover up to two hours of parking. Rates: $1 an hour for the first two hours and then $1 every 20 minutes following for a maximum of $15 daily. The summer season daily maximum is $17, while the holiday maximum rate is $20. The 4th of July rate is a flat-fee, pay-as-you-enter $27. Customers arriving after 9pm on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays/special events pay a flat- fee of $5 as they enter. Annual beach parking pass holders are exempt. Annual Parking Pass:
Annual parking passes can be purchased at Lifeguard Headquarters located at 103 Pacific Coast Highway or at City Hall located at 2000 Main Street. Regular passes are $150. Seniors (62+) or vehicle owners with a disabled placard can purchase a pass for $50 with proper identification and vehicle registration. Vehicle must be registered to the person receiving the discount. Oversized vehicle (more than 20ft long) passes can be purchased for $225. Passes are to be permanently affixed to the front left (drivers side) portion of the registered vehicle and are non-transferable. Passes are good in all attended and metered lots along Pacific Coast Highway between Beach Boulevard and Seapoint Street. Additionally, the pass is accepted at the Main Promenade Parking Structure located at 200 Main Street. A map and additional information will be given at time of purchase. Sunset Vista Camping:
The campground runs from October 1st through May 31st. Campers are encouraged to make reservations online, but may also mail in reservations. Reservations may be made on the first day of the month, 3 months prior to arrival starting at 8:00am. Camping reservations will be accepted in person for campers who show up less than 24 hours before the desired date at the camping gate on a first come first served basis pending availablity. The nightly rate is $70 while seniors (62+) and campers with a disabled placard are $60 a night. There is also a $10 processing fee. All credit card transactions will be assessed a $2.85 fee.
