Tonight, we send our prayers and deepest condolences to the Montgomery County School System, their students, families, the victims, and all first responders.

As a parent and grandfather, this is truly a parent’s worst nightmare. There are no words that can fully express the pain and sorrow they are experiencing right now. Our hearts are with each and every one of them during this incredibly difficult time.

ALERT!! Make plans for an alternate route. Be safe.

Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently on the scene of a fatal crash in Carroll County near the intersection of Highway 70 and Cedar Grove involving an out of county school bus and another vehicle.

This remains an ongoing investigation, and troopers are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while emergency personnel remain on scene. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Severe weather expected this evening. Please be safe and take all precautions. Don’t wait to the last minute.

⚠️ PLEASE SHARE — In the event of a tornado watch, the FEMA-Approved shelters at the Burroughs Learning Center at Bethel University and at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office will open to the public.
Generally, churches and other organizations will open their doors and basements to those in need of shelter from tornadoes. If you know of any, please share them in the comments!

Tonight I had the pleasure of attending the Fuller Strong Dinner and Auction that brought members of our community together for a great cause. It was a great evening filled with generosity, fellowship, and people who truly care about making a difference.

I want to extend a sincere thank you to the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who attended and supported the event. Your hard work and dedication made the night a success.

As I continue my campaign for Sheriff, evenings like this remind me how strong our community is when we come together. Building relationships, supporting one another, and staying connected with the people of our county is an important part of serving our community.

If elected Sheriff, I would proudly introduce a new initiative — the Voluntary Disability Information Program — as part of an ongoing effort to better protect and serve the members of our great county.

This program is designed to help first responders better assist individuals with disabilities during emergencies.

👥 Who Can Participate?
Residents of Carroll County of all ages who have disabilities that may impair communication, including but not limited to:
• Nonverbal individuals
• Deaf individuals
• Individuals with autism
• Individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Any other disability impacting communication

📝 Information Collected May Include:
• Name and address
• Emergency contact details
• Medical conditions and specific needs
• Caregiver information
• A recent photograph (if available)

📟 How It Helps:
Information is entered into the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, allowing first responders to quickly access critical details in an emergency. This can improve response times, enhance safety, and leads to better outcomes for vulnerable residents.

🔄 Annual Updates:
Participants would be contacted each year to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.

This is the kind of proactive, community-focused initiative that strengthens trust and keeps families safer. Programs like this truly make a difference.
