For 222 days, we have patiently waited on the results of the soil your un**es challenge at Huntingdon Middle School. Through this challenge, we buried cotton un**es in the ground. Today, we dug them up and discussed factors that made our soil good including microbes, sun, water, and other things. Here are the results! Both 2nd block classes had the best soil conditions!

We are thankful for our partnerships with Huntingdon Special School District for doing fun activities like this while learning a little more about agriculture and science!

πŸ“’πŸ“’ NEW CAMP! πŸ“’πŸ“’

Beyond the Barn: Vet Science Camp goes deeper than traditional animal camps, giving students a hands-on look at what it’s really like to work in the veterinary and animal science fields.

During this camp, 4-H’ers will explore basic veterinary skills and animal health concepts, learn how science plays a role in animal care and diagnostics, work closely with animals in engaging, age-appropriate activities and discover career paths in veterinary and animal science. This camp is perfect for students who love animals and want to move beyond the barn to understand the science, responsibility, and problem-solving behind animal care. It will involve hands-on activities led by both experienced 4-H agents and veterinary professionals. We are very excited and know this camp will fill up quickly!
