*DUCK RESCUE*
Earlier today, off Huntersville-Concord Road (near Hill Steet), our Engine 11 teamed up with a few citizens and Carolina Waterfowl to rescue an injured momma duck and her seven baby ducks. Momma Duck was struck by a car and her babies fell into a nearby storm drain. Teaming up, the momma duck was packaged for transport and the seven ducklings were removed from the storm drain. ALL of them are now at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue in Matthews. Excellent team work by all involved. Great work Huntersville!

📣PSA📣
We understand, and we too experience the occasional traffic issues we have here in our growing Town. Especially in the morning rush, the evening rush, during the school year.

Please do your best to let us respond out of our fire stations when we are dispatched. Just give us some room (we don’t ask much) and let us get to those that need us! When in front of our stations, please don’t park bumper to bumper. We’re seeing frequent issues at Stations 1, 2 and 3 now.

Thank you Huntersville!
