The Town of Huntersville is pleased to announce Tyler Beardsley as the Town’s Electric Director ahead of the Town beginning to operate its own electric distribution system beginning July 1. Beardsley comes to Huntersville from the Town of Cornelius, where he served the community for 15 years, most recently as its Assistant Town Manager and Public Works Director. He started with Huntersville in April to ensure a seamless transition.

“I love the North Mecklenburg area, and I am very excited to be serving as Huntersville’s Electric Director,” Beardsley said. “I’ve hit the ground running and am looking forward to building the department, improving customer experience and delivering reliable electric service to the community.”

We've enjoyed honoring our Public Works staff this week during National Public Works Week!

Our Public Works team provides a wide range of essential services for our residents, including:
• Street and sidewalk maintenance and construction on Town-maintained roads
• Curbside bulk item and brush pile pickup
• Stormwater system maintenance
• Snow and ice management during winter weather

Not all services are handled by the Town alone. We have strong partnerships and work closely with NCDOT, Charlotte Water and Waste Connections to serve our community.

As we close in on the end of National Public Works Week, join us in thanking all the dedicated Public Works individuals who keep Huntersville safe, clean and thriving!

To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life.

We are proud to be a Town full of opportunity and possibility built on a welcoming attitude and sense of connection, where lifelong residents and newcomers find a great place to be. It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, you can thrive here.
