We want to take a moment to thank all of the assisting fire departments and Mutual Aid who responded to the house fire in the middle of the night. Your quick response, teamwork, and willingness to leave your own beds to help a neighboring department never goes unnoticed. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️‍🔥

We also want to thank the Pennsylvania State Police for their assistance and support on scene.

And a very SPECIAL THANK YOU goes to the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County work crew who happened to be working in the area, noticed the fire, and immediately called it in. Because you were paying attention and took action, the fire was reported and help was on the way. Your actions may very well have made a life-saving difference. We cannot thank you enough. ❤️

This is what the fire service is all about — neighbors helping neighbors, departments working together, and people looking out for one another.

From all of us at Hunker Volunteer Fire Department, thank you to everyone who answered the call and helped our community in the middle of the night. We are proud to stand alongside such incredible departments and community partners. 🚒❤️

A huge THANK YOU to all who came out to support our firehall today. We really appreciate you & look forward to seeing your cars & trucks again next year for our 15th car show celebration. We'd like to thank all who contributed and donated for the Chinese auction baskets. The winning numbers will be posted in the attached pictures. Once again on behalf of Hunker VFD, thank you.

It's turning out to be a gorgeous day for our car show! Come on out & support your local firefighters. The cars & trucks are starting to arrive. The kitchen will be open, we have great baskets for our Chinese auction & an awesome DJ plus all day 50/50. Show is from noon to 4pm. We can't wait to see you!

Here is a sneak peek the Chinese auction items for our car show next weekend, sunday August 9th from noon to 4pm. Registrations starts at 11am. Remember there will be an all day 50/50 and the kitchen will be open.
