Corn Belt Power Cooperative employee and Army National Guard veteran, Jeremy Stattelman, received a Valor Quilt at the co-op headquarters this morning. Local community member Holly Lyons, who created the quilt, presented it to him in appreciation for his service and sacrifice.

Stattelman was deployed twice - first to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt from 2002 to 2003 and a second time to Iraq from 2005 to 2007.

While admiring the quilt, Stattelman thanked Lyons for her amazing support during his active duty. "A lot of what I received overseas came from Holly."

Lyons shared that she couldn't imagine going to war, leaving her family and risking her life. She says, "I will forever be grateful for his service."

Corn Belt Power would like to extend a special thank you to all service members and veterans.
