Humboldt Volunteer Rescue Humboldt Volunteer Rescue was formed in 1968. The services has gone through many changes since that time.

In 2011, the organization was changed from a Basic Life Support (BLS) service to an Advanced Life Support (ALS) service.

Did you know that Humboldt Rescue covers approximately 250 square miles in Richardson County?

Our ambulance district runs from the Nebraska/Kansas state line to the Richardson/Nemaha county line on Highway 75. From about Six Mile Cafe, the district extends to the northeast.

Our district also covers from Highway 75 to the Pawnee County Line and Highway 105 to the Nemaha County Line.

Humboldt Rescue provides ambulance services to the City of Humboldt, Village of Dawson, Village of Stella, and the rural areas surrounding these communities.
