Spanning 180 acres, Mercer Botanic Gardens is a living museum brimming with textures, colors, and fragrances of plants native to many parts of the world. Meander through
the winding garden paths to enjoy displays of fragrant herbs, Texas native plants, rare and endangered plant species, delicate ferns, majestic oaks, tropical gingers, and more. Directions: Mercer is located approximately 8 miles north of the George Bush Intercontinental Airport and about 22 miles north of downtown Houston. From I-45 or the Hardy Toll Road, exit FM 1960 and turn east. Turn left at Aldine Westfield Road. In 1.25 miles, make a right into Mercer Botanic Gardens.
