It’s that time of year again! The Hull Fire Department is excited to announce our annual BBQ fundraiser October 24th, 2026.

Tickets are required to pick up a plate, so be sure to grab yours early! While we may have a limited number of plates available for purchase at the door for $12.00, buying a ticket in advance is the only way to guarantee your meal.

Stop by the station to purchase your tickets from one of our firefighters during the following times:
🗓 Sept 3: 7pm – 9pm
🗓 Sept 17: 6pm – 9pm
🗓 Sept 19: 10am – 1pm (Join us for our Blood Drive!)
🗓 Oct 1: 7pm – 9pm
🗓 Oct 15: 6pm – 9pm

Can't make it to the station? We have several local businesses selling tickets on our behalf. Please send us a direct message for a full list of participating locations.

Congratulations to our retiring Fire Chief Jason Austin!

Last Saturday evening, we honored a career of service, leadership, and dedication with a retirement celebration filled with appreciation and heartfelt thanks. The impact Chief Austin has made on our department and our community is immeasurable, and we’re grateful for the professionalism and commitment he brought every day.

Thank you, Chief Austin, for your many years of service and for setting the standard for others to follow. Your leadership will be remembered long after this celebration.

Wishing you a well-deserved retirement. May it be filled with new adventures, rest, and everything you enjoy most.

Wesley Chapel Volunteer Fire Department in Lexington, GA is hosting their 1st annual golf tournament on August 22, 2026, at 7:30am. Have you ever wondered why our fire trucks are so large or why they seem to run out of water so quickly?

The water carried on a fire truck is intended to get firefighters started, but during most structure fires we must establish a sustainable water supply as quickly as possible. That's why fire hydrants are so important.

If you have a fire hydrant on or near your property, please help us by keeping it clear and accessible. Trim back shrubs and landscaping, and avoid placing vehicles, decorations, or other items where they could block access.

Remember, the fire may not be at your home—it could be your neighbor's at 2:00 a.m. Every second counts, and quick access to a hydrant can make a critical difference in protecting lives and property.

Hull Fire Department would like to take a moment to recognize the following personnel changes that are in effect as of today:

- Chief: Ian Farlow
- Captain: Daniel Newton
- Captain: David DesRosier

In addition, the following personnel are remaining in their current positions:

- Assistant Chief: Alan Lapczynski
- Chaplain: Kenny Weaver
- Secretary: David DesRosier
- Treasurer: Kenny Weaver

Jason Austin is remaining with the Hull Fire Department but is taking a step back after nearly 30 years of service. Chandler Austin and Jacob Johnson are both taking time to focus on family and new opportunities in other communities.

Please join us in congratulating those that are starting a new chapter in the fire service. Thank you to everyone continuing to serve the community of Hull and Madison County, and we offer a special thanks to Jason Austin, Chandler Austin, and Jacob Johnson for their years of dedicated service.
