With recent generous donations at the Hugo Fire Relief Association’s 4th annual golf tournament, they were able to help the Fire Department purchase invaluable battery operated extrication equipment for our next truck. The City, the Residents of Hugo, and The Fire Department are lucky to have such generous support to the Hugo Firefighters Relief Association from local businesses, residents, and other supporters. Thank you all!

At last nights city council meeting, the Hugo Fire Department awarded thier first ever Life Saving Awards. It was a large group, which goes to show how much care, passion, and professionalism extends into the first responder community and also highlights just how much effort goes into attemtping to save a life.

Recognized last evening was the patients spouse who was the first to give aid, the telecommunicator who instructed care and directed resources, the Washington County Deputies who were the first emergency responder’s on scene giving aid, the ambulance crew from Fairview EMS who provided pivotal ALS support, and the Hugo Fire Fighters who responded from their homes and the station and called from whatever they are doing to come help.

Only about 10% of Cardiac Arrest outside of a hospital have a positive outcome and this one thankfully did, and it wouldn’t have happened without all the effort, passion, and skills of every single person involved in the effort.

Parking will be limited at the station, please consider parking at the Legion.
To leave the station you will head west on 140th, then south on Fenway, the east on 130th back to 61.

💥 Follow local ordinances regarding what fireworks are allowed or not allowed
