Kevin is always willing to work overtime, lend a hand at department events and fundraisers, and step up whenever he’s needed. His dedication and reliability are greatly appreciated by everyone at HPD.

📍 Columbia Street — 4th Street to 7th Street
📍 6th Street — Prospect Street to State Street

🚗 Please move vehicles from these areas during street sweeping operations to avoid being ticketed or towed.

HPD is sad to announce the passing of retired Sergeant James A. Colfer Jr.

Sergeant Colfer joined the Hudson Police Department in 1973 and proudly served the City of Hudson for more than 22 years before retiring in 1995.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Rest easy, Sergeant Colfer. Thank you for your service. You will never be forgotten.

Lt. Keyser began his career with HPD on August 10, 2009, and has spent the past 17 years serving the community with professionalism, dedication, and commitment.

Throughout his career, Lt. Keyser has always been willing to go the extra mile for the community. Whether it’s answering calls, leading officers… or even climbing into a storm drain to retrieve someone’s keys, Lt. Keyser has done it all!

On July 27th, Communications Specialist Mary Kate Rodrigues celebrated an incredible 11 years of service with HPD.

Mary Kate is an outstanding dispatcher who consistently goes above and beyond for our department and our community. She is always willing to step up and lend a hand, especially when it comes to community events and outreach.

She also plays a huge role in our Child Passenger Safety/Car Seat Program, helping make sure families in our community have the resources and education they need to keep their little ones safe. 🧸🚗
