We had a great time meeting some new and "remarkable" women at our summer social. We also donated toiletry bags for the PATH Center (Providing Access to Healing) to share with the survivors in their care. PATH provides compassionate, trauma-informed care to survivors of domestic violence, SA violence and other crimes. The Zonta Club of Hudson works to support this type of critical community resource. Zonta is a global organization, but on this Fourth of July, our U.S. members are especially reminded of how precious freedom is. Inspired by Rosa Parks' words, we renew our commitment to working toward a world where every person can live in freedom, dignity, and equality.

The Zonta Club of Hudson would like to congratulate Addison Maxwell, the recipient of the Women In Leadership Award. As a senior at Hudson High School, Addison plans to attend the University of Tennessee in the fall. She is a member of Z-Club and Hudson Community First, and a passionate advocate for women's equality and the fight against domestic violence.
