Families of Promise - Hudson, NY A program for expecting mothers and fathers that live in the Hudson City School District. Breakfast and lunch is provided each week.

Families of Promise is an eight week program for expecting mothers and fathers that live in the Hudson City School District. The program is modeled after the highly successful Harlem Children’s Zone Baby College. We work to empower, support and build community among the participants in our program. The Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood, in collaboration with many community agencies, provides wor

kshops for soon to be parents. Many topics will be explored, including nutrition, immunizations, child development, safety, and discipline. Each week participants will receive resources and “incentives” to take home. There will also be specialized workshops that the participants can choose from including pre-natal yoga, Zumba, knitting and other crafts as well as trips. This program is offered free of charge to residents of the Hudson City School District. To date we have completed 4 full cycles of the program.

A new session of Families of Promise is starting soon! Saturday March 28th is the beginning of the fifth cycle of FOP. If you or anyone you know is expecting a child or has a child under the age of 3 come join us for FREE classes every Saturday! Support for new parents is provided through discussions about prenatal support, nutrition, health, child development safety and discipline.
