National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Lake Front Park! The Hudson Police Department is looking for any person or organizations that would like to participate in this year’s event. Participation can vary between providing donations or hosting a booth at the event. Officer Strader and K9 Maverick attended the United States Police Canine Association Patrol Certification Trials in Rochester, MN last week. They did a fantastic job representing the Hudson Police Department!

At trials they teamed up with Roseville PD, earning 2nd place overall. St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office took 1st place. Individually, Officer Strader and K9 Maverick were awarded Rookie Dog of the Year and tied for 1st place in Obedience.

These achievements reflect countless hours of training, commitment, and hard work. We are extremely proud of them!

In observance of Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to remember the law enforcement officers who gave their lives while protecting their communities and safeguarding others.

Their courage, commitment, and sacrifice represent the highest ideals of public service. We stand in honor of the fallen and in support of the loved ones and agencies they left behind.
