Established as a volunteer library by members of The Hudson Junior Woman’s Club in 1980, the predecessor to the Hudson Area Public Library existed without direct tax support. The Hudson Area Public Library District was established as a result of a citizen

referendum in Hudson, Hudson Township, parts of Money Creek and Unincorporated Normal Township. The vote was held on March 17, 1992, and the question was approved by a nearly 70% vote. On May 12, 1992 the Hudson Area Public Library District became officially established.

New to our shelves this week...
The library will be closed on Monday for the Labor Day holiday, so don't forget to stock up for the long weekend! Could you use a great read, some DVDs, or a magazine or two? How about a Roku and/or a hot spot? We'll be open our regular hours Friday and Saturday, so come on by!

🌿"Sowing Seeds" will soon be drawing to a close. Friday is the last day for tweens, teens, and adults to turn in "Seed Sower" book reviews and earn your custom "Seed Sower" button and chances to win a $25 Amazon gift card. The display will be up until Friday, September 4. Stroll the aisle to see what others have been enjoying this summer. 🌿

Now that the rush of Summer Reading is over, we're savoring what we've read and sharing our thoughts with others - sowing story seeds!
