We were busy last week celebrating 🩵

We came together to take action for healthier communities and had an amazing week of events, including:
🩺 Narcan training
🏠 Public Health Open House
🍓 Healthy Eating Habits session
🧘‍♀️ Yoga class
🩸 Participation in Hudson’s local blood drive

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported, and helped make these events a success. Public health is all about connection, prevention, and action and we’re proud to do this work alongside our community!

It’s in the everyday choices you make, often without even realizing it! Washing your hands, staying home when you’re sick, checking on a neighbor, getting vaccinated, or using community resources… it all adds up.

These small actions help protect not just your health, but the health of everyone around you. That’s the power of public health; it lives in our daily habits and shared responsibility.

From responding to emergencies to advancing programs and policies, every step we take helps protect and improve lives. It’s "boots-on-the-ground" work and long-term planning happening at the same time.

This year’s theme says it best: Ready. Set. Action! Because healthier communities don’t happen by chance; they happen because we take action together. 💪💛

Everyone deserves a fair and just opportunity to be healthy, no matter where they live or who they are. That means addressing barriers and making sure resources reach the people who need them most.
