Did you know you can borrow items from other libraries and pick them up right here, at Hudson Falls? Interlibrary loan is a service paid for by your tax dollars and which we offer at no extra charge. Every weekday, we receive bins of books, DVDs, and other items from other libraries; and every day we send items from our library out to eagerly-waiting readers in Glens Falls, Saratoga, Clifton Park, and many more. All you have to do is request an item at the desk or on our website at hudsonfalls.sals.edu, and you will receive a message when your item is ready for pick-up. Try it out today!

Happy Local History Month!

At the Hudson Falls Free Library, we are passionate about local history! If you would like to learn more about our history-rich area, explore these resources we have on offer:

1. Visit our two local interest collections in-person at the library. We have titles on Hudson Falls, Kingsbury, Glens Falls, Saratoga, the Adirondacks, and more. Who saw Bigfoot in New York State? What's the big deal about Cooper's Cave? And what Revolutionary War turning points happened in our own backyard?

2. Read a brief history of Hudson Falls on our website (visit hudsonfalls.sals.edu/local-history/).

3. Explore our online resources to find out cool tidbits about your own family history or the history of Washington County (visit hudsonfalls.sals.edu/genealogy-resources/). Have questions? Contact the library at 518-747-6406, or email [email protected].
