With hotter temperatures, NEVER leave kids or pets in a car‼️

Even with the windows cracked, temperatures inside can be deadly in minutes.

👉 Place something in the backseat, such as a phone or purse, to remind you a child or pet is in the car.

☀️🌊 Kickoff to Summer Means Pool Season is Here! 🌊☀️

As temperatures rise, pools become a favorite place to cool off and have fun—but safety must always come first.

Before diving in this summer, remember these key pool safety tips:
• Always supervise children closely—designate a “Water Watcher”
• Make sure pool gates and barriers are secure and self-latching
• Teach kids basic water safety and swimming skills
• Keep rescue equipment and a phone nearby
• Never swim alone

A few simple precautions can prevent tragedy and keep summer fun for everyone. Let’s make this a safe and enjoyable pool season.💙🏊‍♂️

While you’re shopping at the Fox Brothers Piggly Wiggly over the weekend, make sure to stop by the craft beer section to sign our “Welcome Home” card for Zach H. who is one of our own at the Richfield Fire Department. Zach just returned home this week from overseas and is a Reservist in the Air Force.

Thank you to all the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces and on the eve of Memorial Day Weekend, let us not forget those who did not make it home and gave the ultimate sacrifice.

This Memorial Day weekend, we encourage everyone to take time not only to enjoy family, friends, cookouts, and the unofficial start of summer - but also to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces. 🇺🇸

Whether you pause for the National Moment of Remembrance, visit a memorial, place flags, wear a red poppy, support military families, or simply take a quiet moment of gratitude - we encourage you to honor their sacrifice while enjoying the weekend safely.

Show us how you are honoring Memorial Day this weekend and add a photo in the comments of how you, your family, or our community is remembering and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. ❤️

From all of us at Richfield Fire Department, have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

EMS Week kicks off today, and this year’s theme, Improving Outcomes, Together, highlights the dedication, teamwork, and compassion shown by EMS professionals every day.

This week, the Richfield Fire Department proudly recognizes the people behind the patch — the paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, and other first responders who answer the call when communities need them most. We also reaffirm our commitment, alongside our partners and communities, to continue Improving Outcomes, Together.

Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to saving lives.
