☢️ Report from the Wasteland: Troop 743 at Scoutoree 2026 ☢️
The "Great Rain of '26" couldn't stop Troop 743! We just wrapped up an epic Fallout-themed Scoutoree, and while our boots are currently drying out, our spirits are at an all-time high.

We had the privilege of anchoring a "mega-camp" alongside Troop 437 and the future survivors of Pack 347. It was awesome watching our older Scouts step up to mentor the Cubs—proving that in the wasteland, we’re all one big family.

🏕️ The Mission Log:
The Elements: It rained. A lot. But a true Scout knows that "weather" is just another word for "challenge accepted."
Brotherhood: Huge thanks to Troop 437 and Pack 347 for the great vibes and seamless campsite cooperation. Sharing resources and stories around the (very damp) campfire was the highlight of the weekend.
The Theme: From S.P.E.C.I.A.L. skills to wasteland navigation, the Fallout theme was a total blast.

A massive shout-out to the East Carolina Council for the incredible effort in planning this. You provided the grit, the fun, and the memories—we just provided the rain gear!

Troop 743: 10 Miles. Mr. Dick: Out cold. A successful Saturday! 🌲

What an incredible Saturday for the Scouts of Troop 743! Our crew hit the trailhead early and powered through a grueling 10-mile hike. From navigating the terrain to keeping the pace, these Scouts showed exactly what leadership and endurance look like. We saw some great teamwork, shared some laughs, and definitely earned every single one of those miles.

However, it seems the trail might have been just a little more exhausting for the adults than the kids! While the Scouts were still ready for more, our Assistant Scout Master, Mr. Dick, decided to conduct an unscheduled "quality check" of his hammock.

We couldn't be prouder of the scouts for their grit and spirit today. As for Mr. Dick, we'll let him finish his nap—he’s earned it! 💤
