The 1976 Time Capsule is officially open! Join us for a special ceremony tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at the library to view the artifacts buried by our citizens 50 years ago. While we did encounter some significant water damage, we have done our very best to preserve these pieces of Hubbard's history. We can't wait to share them with you!

Ukulele lessons with Paulette Darko, the Uke Kool Lady, return in July!

We have a limited supply of ukuleles available for checkout or you can bring your own. If you need to checkout a ukulele, please stop at the information desk several days before the class. This will be a three week session; July 15, 22, and 29 from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Meeting Room on the first floor of the library.

50 years in the making!

We will be having a ceremony featuring guest speakers on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10:00am-12:00pm to view the contents of Hubbard's 1976 time capsule! The citizens of Hubbard buried a time capsule in 1976 in front of the library with the intention of unearthing it in 50 years to celebrate America's 250th Birthday!

***Due to logistics of excavation of the time capsule, we will open it prior to June 20th to determine the condition of the items inside. We realize some will want to be here for the unearthing of the time capsule. Please exercise caution if observing the process and stay behind the barriers we set in place.
