Families in Transition of Lake County Schools Lake County School District employs a Homeless Liaison and a Migrant/Homeless Resource
Advocate.

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act includes a definition of who is considered homeless and, therefore, eligible for the rights and protections it provides. The guiding phrase of the definition states that children and youth who “lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence” are considered homeless.

🎣 PLEASE JOIN US & HELP MAKE A CHILD’S CHRISTMAS SPECIAL! 🎄

Whether you’re signing your children up or helping us through a donation, we’d love for you to be part of this year’s WiDa Outdoors Tackle for Tots!

Last year, thanks to the incredible support of our community, we were able to help 54 children. Every child received a rod & reel and a tackle box filled with tackle to get them started fishing! 🎣

This year, we want to make it even bigger and help even more kids get outdoors and on the water.

❤️ Sign your children up
🎁 Donate rods, reels, tackle boxes, or tackle
💵 Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated

Every donation, big or small, helps us put a fishing setup into the hands of another child this Christmas.

Let’s come together and make some memories for these kids!
