For most of his life, Logan Hugo thought he was going to play professional baseball. Then he found something he loved even more: helping people build a future they're actually excited about.

Please join us in welcoming Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Logan Hugo to the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce! ⚾💼

Logan earned his finance degree from Eastern Michigan University while playing baseball and serving as team captain, and even had the opportunity to pursue the game professionally after graduation. Instead, he chose a different kind of game plan, one built around helping individuals, families, business owners, and even college athletes make smart, confident financial decisions.

Now based in Pinckney and accepting new clients, Logan specializes in wealth strategies, retirement planning, values and faith-based investing, and works with some pretty unique groups including teachers, professors, NIL athletes, and brand new investors just getting started.

Whatever your goals are, Logan's approach is simple: get to know you, understand what matters most, and help you move toward it with confidence.

We are so excited to welcome Logan to our Chamber community!

Welcome, Logan. We're glad you're here. 🤝

Livingston County, we hope you’re all okay out there. 💛

The storms over the past few days have left many of our neighbors dealing with downed trees, damaged homes and vehicles, power and internet outages, and a whole lot of cleanup.

In moments like these, we’re reminded that community is about more than where we live or do business. It’s about how we show up for one another when someone needs a hand.

We know there are businesses, organizations, neighbors, first responders, utility crews, and volunteers across Livingston County already doing exactly that, and we’re incredibly grateful for every person helping our community get back on its feet.

--
If you or your business needs help, leave a comment below and let our community know what you need.

If you’re able to help, whether that’s with cleanup, resources, supplies, services, or simply connecting someone with the right person, take a look through the comments and see where you might be able to lend a hand.

Our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted. We hope you and your families are safe, and we hope this can be one small place where community helps community. 💛

There’s no shortage of political headlines right now. Understanding what they actually mean for business is another story.

On September 17, we’re bringing one of Michigan’s most experienced political voices to Livingston County to help us look beyond the headlines.

Bill Ballenger has spent decades inside and around Michigan politics, serving in both the Michigan House and Senate, holding a position in the Ford administration, leading a Michigan state department, and building a career as one of the state’s most respected political journalists and analysts.

At Good Morning Livingston, Bill will join us for a timely conversation on Michigan Politics, Policy & What It Means for Business.

With the August primary behind us and the November election ahead, we’ll hear what Bill is watching, what’s happening in Lansing, and how political and policy decisions could influence our workforce, costs, growth opportunities, and business community right here in Livingston County.

☕ Breakfast, coffee & conversation
📅 Thursday, September 17 | 8:00–10:00 AM
📍 Chemung Hills Golf & Banquet Center

Here’s one more reason to reserve your seat now: Register by September 4 and you’ll be entered into a drawing to receive a FREE ticket to our November Good Morning Livingston! 🎟️

We’ll draw the winner at Good Morning Livingston on September 17, and you must be present to win.

Come connect with local leaders, ask questions, and leave with a clearer understanding of what’s shaping business in Michigan.

When was the last time you had a few hours to really think about your business? 🤔

When you’re the one building it, most days are spent answering emails, solving problems, serving customers, managing the work, and making the next decision. Somewhere in all of that, the bigger questions can get pushed aside.

Is my offer still what my customers need? Is there an opportunity I’m overlooking? What should I be doing differently? Where am I actually trying to take this business?

Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurship Forum gives you a room to work through those questions.

Kevin Suboski of Fastest Route created this Forum to bring entrepreneurs together for the kind of thinking that’s hard to do alone. This month, he’s joined by Mark Sarafa, co-founder of Pop Daddy Snacks, whose own journey took him from experimenting with popcorn in his basement to building a brand now available in 30,000+ retail locations.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, hear how others have navigated growth and uncertainty, exchange ideas with fellow entrepreneurs, and get outside your own perspective for a few hours.

You might walk in wrestling with an idea or decision and walk out seeing your next move a whole lot more clearly.

If your business has been keeping you too busy to think about where it’s going, make room for this.
