🎈 Up, up and away! There's no better way to kick off Balloonfest than with a first-ever hot air balloon ride.

This morning, Chamber President Janelle Smith took her very first hot air balloon flight as part of this year's special media flight opportunity.

For someone who works tirelessly behind the scenes to help make this event happen year after year, getting to experience Balloonfest from above felt like the perfect full-circle moment.

In Pinckney, there's a camp built entirely around one idea, every child deserves the chance to just be a kid. For ten years, North Star Reach has been making that idea real.

North Star Reach is Michigan's only barrier-free, fully accessible medical camp for children with serious health challenges, offered entirely free of charge to every family they serve.

Every great leader in this community started somewhere. For some, that somewhere is about to be Leadership Livingston.

Applications for the 2026-2027 Leadership Livingston cohort are open now through July 30th. This is an annual leadership development experience running October through May, designed for established and emerging leaders ready to deepen their impact on their organization, their industry, and this community.

Full day monthly sessions. Community tours. Real access to the leaders shaping Livingston County. A cohort of peers who will challenge and inspire you long after graduation.

Leadership Livingston is a Greater Livingston County Chamber Alliance program, proudly presented by the Howell Area Chamber, Greater Brighton Area Chamber and Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce .

5... 4... 3... 2... 1... 🎨✨

Today, Downtown Howell gathered to reveal something truly special.

The newest ART Doing Good mural, created by artist and founder S Pominville Art, is more than a work of art. It is a reflection of the people, stories, memories, and experiences that make Howell feel like home.

What makes this project so meaningful is that the community helped create it. Residents shared their memories, reflections, and personal connections to Howell, many of which were woven directly into the mural itself. The result is a piece that doesn't just tell one story. It tells our story.

To everyone who contributed a memory, shared a story, attended the unveiling, or simply loves this community, thank you!

We were honored to help support this project and grateful to Susan Pominville for creating a beautiful reminder of what makes Howell so special.

Take a moment to visit the mural, look closely, and see if you can find a piece of yourself, a neighbor, or a memory reflected within it. ❤️
