What We Do: Supporting Kids in Need! Our organization provides clothing, outerwear, shoes, ba
by gear, toys, diapers, and more, to children placed in the foster care system, children in need, and to children who are at-risk, struggling, and/or facing a crisis. We deal directly with foster parents, foster care agencies, and other child welfare agencies. Often, children are placed into foster care with no personal items and, in many cases, they come into care with only the clothes on their back. This enables the foster parents to provide for the immediate needs of the child and helps reduce the financial strain a new placement can place on a foster family. The children’s immediate needs are not always met right away or in full by the State. Meeting these needs allows foster parents to concentrate on helping these children adjust to their new home, gain trust and bond, and begin re-building the child’s self-esteem. We believe that no parent should worry about being able to cloth their child and no child should have to shoulder adult burdens. We provide these items to foster growth and support these families in their time of struggle. We provide the basics while their parents/guardians work on getting back on their feet and stable. We help our community. We value our “village” and want to support those who support us. Families who have been devastated by fire or other disasters can obtain the immediate basic items necessary for their children (clothing, shoes, etc.). This helps to alleviate some stress and allows the family to focus on recovering and rebuilding from such a loss.
