This photo was taken in 1932. I'm amazed at the clarity of the details! This house belonged to the extended McPherson family. It was on Grand River when you're going toward the high school, but unfortunately it was torn down in the 80's as it was too far gone for repair. What a gem, though!

An unusual forecast for what's usually the coldest time of the year in Michigan. Tomorrow is groundhog day; a silly tradition, really, however it's still fun to guess whether we'll have a short winter or an early spring. The forecast sure does look promising, though! Dreaming of blooming hydrangeas and longer days.

The Opera House Winter Market launched in 2007 and has thrived in the years since.
