🚑📚💙 EMS Week may be over, but we’re still reminiscing 💙📚🚑

Every year during EMS Week (celebrated this year from May 17-23), we recognize the EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, instructors, volunteers and support personnel who help keep our communities safe. 🚨❤️

One of the highlights of our EMS Week was getting the opportunity to visit Farmingdale Elementary School! 🎉🏫

A huge thank you to Ms. Arrigo for inviting us to spend part of our Friday with the students. From learning about ambulances 🚑 to seeing EMS equipment up close 👀 and asking some fantastic questions 🤔, the students kept us on our toes and made it a fun and memorable visit.

Special thanks to Lieutenant Arrigo and the Friday crew for taking time out of their day to represent our squad and show the next generation what EMS is all about. 👏🚑⭐

Who knows… maybe among those students was a future EMT, nurse, firefighter, doctor, dispatcher or public safety professional. 💙🔥

And of course, thank you to all of our members, past and present, as well as our friends and partner agencies who help make EMS possible every day. EMS Week may only come around once a year, but serving our community is a 24/7, 365-day commitment. 🚨❤️

That’s it… you people are unbelievable 💙 Our 6th Annual Howell First Aid Golf Outing is officially SOLD OUT 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️👏

Our 6th Annual Howell First Aid Golf Outing is set for Monday, June 8, 2026 at Pebble Creek Golf Club and we’re looking to fill this course to the max 🏌️‍♂️🔥

🚑 The “I’m just here for the cart” crew
🩺 Even the doctors who sneak out to the course when they definitely have patients waiting 😅

Hello Howell,

We would like to thank our new EVENT SPONSOR for our golf outing, The Turn Social Golf. They are a brand new business launching a live golf scoring app which focuses on live leaderboards, round sharing, and group play. They are also providing their platform at our event for everyone to use. This will allow us to be more interactive by showing the live scores throughout the outing making it more fun for everyone. Although slightly delayed, we are proud and excited to officially announce the officers who took office Feb. 1, coinciding with our anniversary of incorporation on Feb. 3, 1957. 💙

For nearly seven decades, this organization has been built on service, tradition and leadership. Every February, we honor that legacy by installing the next group of members who step forward to guide our squad into the year ahead. During our February regular business meeting we were proud to be able to have Mayor John Leggio swear in some of our 2026 leadership.

🚔🔥🚑 LIGHTS, SIRENS… AND A FIELD TRIP?! 🚑🔥🚔

Monday night our Cadets traded the squad bay for a behind-the-scenes pass at the Howell Township Police Department and let’s just say… nobody was checking their phones 📵👀

Led by the awesome Cpl. Jayme Higgins 👏 distinguished officer, Howell Police Cadet advisor and member of the School Resource Unit our group got the inside scoop on what really happens before we ever hear tones drop.

Here’s what they got to see and learn:

📞 How a 9-1-1 call is answered
🎙 How dispatch keeps calm while the rest of us are still figuring out what’s going on
🚓 How Patrol units operate and move throughout town
📟 How that one phone call turns into a dispatch page for us

Cadets toured briefing rooms, the communications center and even the processing area getting a firsthand look at the coordination that keeps our community safe. Yes, they asked great questions. Yes, they tried not to touch anything important. 😅

It was eye-opening, engaging and honestly just really cool. Public safety is one big puzzle and Monday night they got to see how the pieces fit together. Different uniforms. Different vehicles. Same mission. 🤝🚔🚑

We’re proud of our partnership with Howell Township Police and grateful to Cpl. Higgins for investing time into our future first responders. And shoutout to the entire department officers, dispatchers, clerks, administrative staff, facilities and janitorial teams who keep everything running smoothly every single day 🙌
