There are challenges associated with caring for an older adult. Quite often caregivers ignore their own physical and emotional health. They generally don’t recognize the symptoms of stress that they are experiencing. Attending a caregiver support group has the ability to ensure that the caregiver is effective in providing care, without feeling burnt out and isolated. The group provides the caregiver with the comfort of knowing that they are not alone.

LCCC offers FREE Caregiver Support Meetings the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also affects how we handle stress and relate to others. In many cases, it can affect how we make choices. The Wellness Wheel reflects the real-world challenges you face and the ways you’re rising up to meet them.
