Health Services staff came together for the annual May Day event, creating space for teamwork, collaboration, and appreciation across programs and disciplines.

The afternoon focused on building relationships, strengthening communication, and connecting outside of daily operations.

Students at The Opportunity Center explored careers through hands on “test drive” experiences with BridgeYear, from healthcare and technology to skilled trades.

Our youth explored the Houston Ship Channel, learning about its history and the many careers that keep it moving. From maritime operations to logistics, the visit opened their eyes to new opportunities and pathways.

Youth Village welcomed award-winning poet and spoken word artist Georgia Me for a special session with youth in the Word Up Program. 🎤

She shared how her personal experiences shaped her journey and inspired youth to find their voice through poetry and storytelling.

The visit ended with the youth delivering a powerful recitation of Maya Angelou’s "Still I Rise," highlighting the confidence and creativity that have grown through the program.
