Every weekday, Kids’ Meals delivers more than 13,000 free, healthy meals directly to the homes of Houston’s little ones.

In a city where 1 in 4 preschool-aged children live unsure of their next meal, strong community support is essential to meeting this need.

For the past four years, Houston Methodist has stood alongside Kids’ Meals, strengthening our ability to consistently show up for children during their most important years of development and provide the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

We are incredibly grateful to Houston Methodist for their continued partnership and for helping us deliver not only meals, but hope for a brighter future. 🧡

In 2006, $2 made and delivered a free, healthy meal to a preschool-aged child facing hunger. Today, it still does.

Over the past two decades, Kids’ Meals has grown in ways we could have only imagined, but our commitment to Houston’s little ones has remained the same.

And through 20 years of change, rising costs and growing need, we’ve worked hard to keep one thing consistent: $2 still makes and delivers a meal.

That means your $2 still has the same impact it did in 2006. It provides a meal to a hungry child who may have otherwise gone without.

For some of the children we serve, this back-to-school season marks an especially exciting milestone: their very first day of kindergarten!

These are children the Kids’ Meals community has supported throughout some of their most important years of growth, helping ensure they had the free, healthy meals they needed to grow, learn, and prepare for moments just like this.

Now, they’re taking their next big step and walking into the classroom for the first time. 🧡

As we cheer them on, thousands of little ones across Houston still need our support. Together, we can continue providing the nutrition they need today as they grow toward their own first day of school.

We are incredibly grateful for the Astros Foundation's continued support and commitment to ending childhood hunger in Houston.

Between our Montgomery County and Spring Branch locations, Astros Foundation volunteers have already contributed an amazing 1,450 volunteer hours in 2026. Every volunteer shift helps create brighter days for local children and families, and we're honored to have partners who consistently step up to make a difference.

Even more, through the Astros Foundation Share2Care program, we’ve been able to make and deliver more than 12,000 lunches!

Thank you, Astros Foundation, for being such an impactful partner and helping us deliver hope, nourishment, and smiles to children throughout our community.

From collecting over 3,000 juice boxes to showing up in full costume, this team brought creativity, energy, and a whole lot of heart to the Juice Box Challenge.
