Behind every number is a real story, a real family, and a future moving forward.

Meet Theavy, an immigrant from Cambodia and a proud Mainer who was separated from her mother, Sokhoun, for 15 years before reuniting in the U.S.

Immigrant families like Theavy's around the world look to reunite in safety. But decades-long backlogs for green cards and policies like Trump's visa ban get in the way. More than 4 million family members are stuck abroad because of backlogs, leading to painful and unnecessary separation between loved ones.

Value Our Families believes in making it easier for U.S. citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their loved ones so they can join them stateside. We should be working to support the reunification of families, not tear them apart.
