I’m Theodis Daniel—a Navy veteran and single dad. Old records from my past are being circulated. They’re years old. I’ve made mistakes, but those mistakes shaped me.

After Hurricane Harvey, I was a homeless veteran. My mother was murdered, so safety is deeply personal to me. I accepted the outcomes of my past and fulfilled every requirement the courts imposed.

To ensure transparency, we’re posting a clear timeline with certified documents. I can’t change yesterday, but I can own it—and commit to being a better man today.

Theodis Daniel: My son here has terminal brain and spine cancer, and most parents wouldn't know what to do about that when you hear that, you know, that being told to you by a doctor. But guess what, I took that with him and turned it into something positive for everybody. And so, if the 18th district voters give me an opportunity to at least, you know, try it, really, I mean what can you lose with me? There's more to gain. For God's sakes, I even come with a term limit. I don't think nobody else comes with a term limit, but I do. And also, you know, if I'm not doing such a great job, and you're not satisfied with me, I don't have a problem not running next time and or stepping down.
