Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States dedicated to honoring and mourning the military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Unlike Veterans Day (which honors all who served), Memorial Day is specifically focused on remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives in the line of duty.
It originated after the American Civil War (initially known as Decoration Day) as a way to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers.

As of April 2026, roughly 100 days into his term, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s job approval ratings generally range between 43% and 48%.

​Marist Poll: 48% approve, 30% disapprove, and 23% are unsure. Notably, 55% of residents hold a favorable view of him.

​Emerson College Poll: 43% approve, 27% disapprove, and 30% are neutral.

Though Mexico had Universal Healthcare already the system was fragmented and inefficient. To fix this, the government is currently executing a massive overhaul to unify its divided networks into a single, federal system. Historically, your medical care was tied to your job. Private workers, government employees, and informal workers all went to entirely different, isolated hospital systems. The new model breaks down these walls, allowing any citizen to access care at any public facility using a single health credential.
