At last night’s City Council meeting, former Council member David Dominy was sworn in as Mayor. We’re excited to see him step into this role and lead our community forward.

We also want to thank Marcus Vajdos for his years of service to our city. He served on the City Council from 2011 to 2020 and as Mayor since 2020, and his dedication has made a lasting impact on our community.

We wish him all the best and look forward to this next chapter.

Happy National Public Works Week!

This year’s theme, “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” reflects exactly what our Public Works team stands for. Though small in number, they play a huge role in keeping our city running, responding during emergencies, maintaining our streets and systems, and taking pride in how our community looks and feels.

We’re grateful for their dedication and the impact they make every single day.

Thank you, Public Works!

It has come to our attention that the water bills mailed to residents this month were incorrectly printed with May 2025 dates. This issue occurred during the printing process and does not affect any bills sent by email or the balance shown on your online account.

The correct bills are currently being reprinted and mailed today. Residents should receive their corrected water bills soon. Any late fees resulting from this error will be waived.

To help prevent future delays or issues with mailed bills, residents are encouraged to sign up for online billing. You can enroll by calling 713-465-8308, e-mailing [email protected], or by creating an account online at https://springvalleytx.municipalonlinepayments.com/springvalleytx/utilities

We apologize for the confusion and appreciate your patience as we work to correct the issue.

On March 30, 2024, the City of Houston notified the City of Spring Valley Village that the water and wastewater rate paid by the City would be increasing as of April 1, 2024. The increase to the City’s rates would recoup the increased charges from the City of Houston.
