We are trying to create an ongoing collaborative environment between Business, Civil society, social sector leadership in Pakistan and Pakistani Diaspora

"United for Better Pakistan"is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-political organization based in USA striving to establish a civil society network of Pakistanis both inside and outside Pakistan along with working as a Think Tank focused on presenting practical solutions to complex problems Pakistan is facing today. This initiative is going to advocate & campaign for a constitutional package which is

geared towards good governance, embedded accountability and rectifying problems in malfunctioning systems in Pakistan. The package is based on principles of equality, accountability, transparency and checks and balances on Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of Govt.It defines and advocates processes and automated systems that will lead to good governance and much needed services needed by citizens of Pakistan. Some of the important features of the legislative package include:

1. Financial transparency and accountability

2. Performance reviews of Executives, Legislative,Judicial branches of the govt on social development benchmarks (KPIs).

3. Bringing Best and Brightest into Politics

4. Reforming Education & Criminal Justice System.

5. Utilizing expertise & resources of Pakistani Diaspora in resolving national issues.

6. Use Information Technology to develop systems to deliver services required by citizens of the country.

Why are our representatives so disconnected from the people?

As part of Political System Reforms, United for Better Pakistan proposes a law requiring all MNAs, MPAs, and elected representatives to hold monthly online meetings with their constituents. Every voter will have the right to participate whether physically or electronically ensuring transparency, accountability, and direct public engagement.

Leaders must stay connected to those they serve. No more empty slogans real communication, real change!

Why don’t our leaders work like ordinary citizens?

As part of Political System Reforms, United for Better Pakistan proposes a law mandating MNAs, MPAs, and Councilors to dedicate 1,900 hours annually to assembly sessions or committee work—ensuring they fulfill their responsibilities with commitment. This equates to a 40-hour workweek with four weeks off per year, just like regular citizens.

Public representatives must be held accountable to those they serve. No more empty promises—it’s time for genuine effort and dedication!

Education for Everyone!

United for Better Pakistan proposes a 10-year master plan to implement a uniform education system across Pakistan. This initiative will not only eliminate class disparity in education but also boost enrollment rates in rural areas. Currently, around 26 million children in Pakistan are out of school.

Regardless of status, influence, or wealth, every child must have equal access to quality education.

Exam Time for Leaders!

If a child cannot be promoted to the next class without exams, then why should politicians be exempt?

United for Better Pakistan aims to introduce a three-level competitive exam as a qualification for contesting elections at the national, provincial, and local levels.

Regardless of political affiliation, influence, or financial status, every candidate must pass this exam to qualify as an MNA, MPA, or Union Councilor.

Parachinar: Is Another Tribal Peace Agreement Enough?

Can yet another tribal peace agreement ensure lasting peace and security in Kurram Agency and Parachinar, or do we need a broader action plan rooted in constitutional reforms?

The ongoing conflict over land dispute has claimed the lives of over 100 people, disrupted civil life, triggered sectarian clashes, and resulted in the closure of roads.

The tribal regions, formerly part of FATA, have a long history of lawlessness—a colonial legacy that Pakistan continued for over 70 years until the 25th Amendment to the Constitution repealed it. Despite the merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, why does lawlessness persist in the region?

United for Better Pakistan seeks to reform six critical systems in the country, and the situation in Parachinar demands us to reflect on the state of governance and political systems.

As a non-political advocacy platform, we focus on promoting a comprehensive constitutional reform package known as Jinnah's Constitutional Amendment.
