Today, Civic Heart was honored to attend the 100th Anniversary Celebration of Historic Riverside Hospital.

Founded in 1926 as the Houston Negro Hospital, Riverside Hospital was Houston’s first nonprofit hospital dedicated to serving Black patients during segregation.

As we celebrate 100 years of history, we also celebrate the future of this iconic landmark because it represents a powerful investment in health equity, community wellness, and the preservation of an important part of Houston’s history.
