Community, connection and openness is what I felt immediately when I walked into this room today.

Wednesday’s LIFT event brought together a room full of small business owners in a safe space to talk openly, encourage one another and remind each other that we don’t have to figure it all out alone.

We shared. We laughed. We learned. We lifted one another.

A special thank you to Dr. Gena L Jerkins for inviting me to be today’s special guest and for creating space for conversations like these.

This is what community looks like and sometimes, being in the right room changes everything. 💚💜

September is Infant Hunger Month, and I was honored to present a proclamation recognizing the CEO Shawntell L. McWilliams and the dedicated team at LIFE Houston for their extraordinary service to Houston’s youngest and most vulnerable residents.

LIFEHouston operates Houston’s only infant food bank, providing emergency formula and essential nutrition to families experiencing financial hardship. No parent should ever have to wonder how they will feed their baby, yet this is a heartbreaking reality for too many families.

Throughout September, we are hosting an Infant Food Drive to support LIFE Houston’s lifesaving mission. You can help by donating Enfamil through our Amazon Wish List. Every donation, large or small, helps nourish a baby and gives a family hope during a difficult time.

Please join us in celebrating LIFE Houston, raising awareness about infant hunger, and filling the shelves of Houston’s only infant food bank.

🍼 Donate Enfamil here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1K5HSHCICIBST/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex

You can also order from instacart at HEB, Kroger, and Walmart, CVS, etc. it can also be shipped directly to: LIFE Houston
St. Austin Center

Houston, Texas 77023

Together, we can make sure Houston’s babies have the healthy start they deserve.
