2026 is an exciting year for the Rosenberg Fire Department! 🚒🌟

We would like to send out a huge thank you to Pierce Mfg and Siddons-Martin Emergency Group for building this outstanding apparatus for the community of Rosenberg.

This new Pierce Ascendant 107’ aerial, built in a quint configuration, represents a major investment in the safety of our firefighters and the citizens we proudly serve. We look forward to putting Ladder 2 into service and continuing our mission of protecting the City of Rosenberg with the highest level of service possible.

Today, on National Firefighters Day, we proudly recognize and thank all the brave men and women of the fire service.

To our firefighters: thank you. Not just for what you do, but for who you are every single day you put on the uniform. You show up without hesitation when our community needs help the most...on the worst days, in the toughest moments, and often in the middle of the night when most are asleep.

We see your hard work, your training, your long hours, and the sacrifices you and your families make so that Rosenberg stays safe. We are truly grateful for your dedication, teamwork, and heart.

Today, the Rosenberg Fire Marshal’s Office is having a great time at B.F. Terry High School for their 2nd Annual Law Day!

Fire Marshal Chad Petty and Fire Inspector/Investigator JD Contreras are spending the day talking with students about careers in public safety and showing them that you don’t have to choose just one path, you can serve in both fire and law enforcement. Truly the best of both worlds!

We love opportunities like this to connect with our youth, answer questions, and inspire the next generation of first responders. 🚒👮‍♂️

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, Assistant Chief Bill Adams! 🎂🎉

Today we’re celebrating a true cornerstone of the Rosenberg Fire Department, Assistant Chief Bill Adams!

With nearly 32 years of dedicated service, Chief Adams is currently the City’s longest-tenured employee. His commitment, leadership, and experience have helped shape our department into what it is today!

But there’s more to Chief Adams than the badge:
🔥 He makes a legendary cheesecake (and yes, you can catch his step-by-step recipe in one of our Facebook reels!)
🔥 You might even spot a piece of history! One of his old firefighter coats is proudly displayed at Texas Roadhouse in Brazos Town Center.
🔥 When he’s off duty, Bill enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Mandy and his son, and best friend, Noah!

The Rosenberg Fire Department is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to help lead our Training/Compliance Division. This role works closely with the Assistant Fire Chief to ensure the department is prepared at all times for response to fires and other emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

🔥Selects, supervises, and evaluates assigned staff

🔥 Develops, maintains, schedules, and administers Texas Commission on Fire Protection compliant firefighter training programs and certifications for Structural Firefighter, Hazardous Materials Technician, Driver Operator – Pumper, Driver Operator – Aerial, Fire Officer, Fire Instructor and other programs

🔥 Maintains training, compliance and equipment records for planned or impromptu inspections by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and Texas Department of State Health Services

🔥 Coordinates ongoing education and specialized training opportunities

🔥Coordinates and conducts testing for the fire department Phase program

🔥Assists with department operations including staffing, budgeting, and planning

🔥 Serves in a command role during major emergencies when needed

🔥 Responsible for assuring all equipment is properly maintained and in full operating condition at all times

🔥Performs ongoing risk management analysis of fire department operations and make recommendations for improvement

Minimum Qualifications:

📍 Associates Degree in fire science, business management, public administration, or a closely related field

📍 8+ years firefighting experience

📍 4+ years supervisory experience

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

✅ Valid Class A or Class B (exempt) Texas Driver’s License

✅ Driver/Operator Pumper Certification in accordance with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection through Texas Administrative Code §433.1

✅Firefighter Advanced Certificate in accordance with Texas Commission on Fire Protection through Texas Administrative Code §423.7

✅Current Fire Officer II certification in accordance with Texas Commission on Fire Protection through Texas Administrative Code §451.201. This position will require Fire Officer III certification within 18 months of accepting position.

✅Current Instructor II certification in accordance with Texas Commission on Fire Protection through Texas Administrative Code §425.5. Instructor III is preferred and will be required within 18 months of accepting position.

✅Current EMT Basic Certification from Texas Department of State Health Services or National Registry

✅NIMS ICS 300 and 400
