This Sunday, May 17, 2026, the University of Houston–Clear Lake will host the Run Houston 5K/10K event. Due to the race and ongoing construction projects, East Bayou Road between University Drive and Middlebrook Drive will be closed. In addition, Entrance 3, Parking Lot D-3, and Parking Lot D-4 will be closed for the duration of the event. The expected closure time is from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Parking Lots D1 and D2 will remain accessible via Loop Road and Houston Road. UHCL Police Officers will be assigned to support the event and will assist with traffic control throughout the morning.
Please be aware that the race route will also impact traffic along Middlebrook Drive and Bay Area Boulevard. Expect delays and plan additional travel time if you will be on or near campus during the event.

At the conclusion of the race, all event-related road and entrance closures will be reopened. Construction-related closures will remain in place.

A map of the closures and a map of the race route are attached for your reference.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work to ensure a safe and successful event for our community. Stay safe and hydrated!
