In Loving Memory of Darlene Jones
It is with heavy hearts that we remember Darlene Jones, who faithfully served The Mission of Yahweh for 15 years. Darlene's life was a powerful testimony of faith, perseverance, resilience, and hope.
Darlene first came to The Mission of Yahweh as a resident seeking a fresh start. Through determination, courage, and hard work, she rebuilt her life, secured employment, and moved into her own apartment. Her journey inspired many and served as a reminder that even in life's most difficult seasons, there is always hope for a new beginning.
Several years later, after losing her job and facing unexpected hardships, Darlene returned to The Mission of Yahweh when an opportunity became available to join the staff. She became a valued full-time team member, serving faithfully as both Kitchen Manager and Weekend Manager. Her story came full circle in a remarkable way. She not only received help when she needed it most, but later devoted her life to helping others find the same hope and support she had once received.
Darlene was also one of the founding members of the Sister 2 Sister support group, a weekly support group that has encouraged, strengthened, and uplifted countless women through the years. Her compassion, wisdom, and willingness to share her experiences left a lasting impact on the women she served and on The Mission of Yahweh’s community as a whole.
Darlene was more than a staff member, she was family. She understood the struggles many women faced because she had walked that path herself. Her kindness, servant's heart, and unwavering dedication touched countless lives, and her presence will be deeply missed.
We thank God for the life of Darlene Jones, for her years of faithful service, and for the love, encouragement, and care she shared with so many. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and all those who were blessed to know her.
Well done, good and faithful servant. May she rest in peace.
💕In lieu of flowers, Darlene’s daughters request that memorial gifts be made to Sister2Sister, a support group that was very dear to her heart. Your gift will honor her legacy and help continue encouraging and supporting women.
