Well it's true, all good things do come to an end. We have made the decision to wind down the organization. It has been a wonderful journey!
AAF was founded in 2011 by a group of attorneys, Annie McAdams, Jason Webster, Dax Garza, Jorge Herrera, and Daniel Horowitz. The fundamental purpose of AAF was "Texas Lawyers Helping Texas Families." We are proud to say, with all of your support, we helped a lot of families. In total, AAF donated more than $275,000.00 to Texas charities. The charities included Returning Heroes Home, Triump Over Kids Cancer, Peach Outreach, and Shriners Hospital of Houston/Texas.
Thank you to all of the generous supporters, volunteers, and participants over the years.
Special thanks to the Sharks R Us cook-off team who volunteered their time and expertise to provide food at each and every event, and Rhonda High for her countless volunteer hours.
We know there are many more individuals who deserve recognition, but the list is too long!
As we wind down and close out the account, we are happy to report we are sending our very last dime to Shriners Children's Hospital in Galveston!
