We’re excited to highlight our amazing Case Manager, Lekeisha! She oversees many of our homes and kiddos and does it all with organization, heart, and a smile. Lekeisha is a strong support for her foster parents and the children she serves, always showing up with dedication, compassion, and a willingness to help wherever needed.

She also keeps us laughing and brings such a positive energy to the team. We are so grateful to have her and the care she pours into our families every day 💙

🌸Love and Logic Parenting Tips for Spring Fever🌸

As the days get longer and the weather warms up, many teens start to feel that “spring fever” energy more restlessness, mood swings, and a strong urge to be outside. While it’s not a medical diagnosis, these seasonal changes can definitely impact focus and behavior.

At Have Haven, our parents use strategies in their everyday lives to help guide their teens through moments like this. By setting clear expectations, offering choices, and responding with empathy, caregivers are able to support their teens while still encouraging responsibility and safe decision making. 💛

This quarter, Have Haven hosted our Teen Summit for youth 13+, focused on building real-life skills and preparing for a successful future beyond foster care. From conversations about goals to learning tools for independence, it’s always so inspiring to see our youth show up, engage, and invest in themselves 🩵🌟

A HUGE thank you to Cecily from Junior Achievement for pouring into our teens and helping equip them with knowledge and confidence for their future. We are so grateful for community partners like you who make this possible.

It truly takes a village. If you’ve ever wanted to make a difference, this is your sign 🤍 We are always looking for individuals and organizations to get involved through volunteering, leading presentations, donating meals, or supporting our events.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🌈🍀
In the spirit of rainbows and pots of gold, we wanted to share something really special our teens worked on with Have Haven’s Transition Support Specialist 💛
Our teenagers completed a Rainbow Long-Term Goal Activity mapping out their goals, the steps to get there, the support they need, and even the barriers they might face. And at the end of it all… their “pot of gold” is how they’ll feel when they achieve it 🌟

What stood out the most?
These are youth who have been through so much…and yet their goals are still full of hope, ambition, and purpose.
It’s a powerful reminder that teenage foster youth are not “too far gone” or “too hard to help”, they are often just the most overlooked.
With the right tools, guidance, consistency, and love, they can and will succeed.

Congratulations to our wonderful foster parent Brad for winning our Foster Parent Appreciation Raffle! 🎉 Brad received a dinner certificate to Fogo de Chão, and we hope he enjoys a well-deserved night out.

Our foster parents give so much of their time, patience, and heart to the children in their homes every single day, and it means so much to us to be able to celebrate and recognize them in small ways like this.

After hearing the news, Brad shared this message with our team:
“Wow… thank you so much! As you and your team appreciate all the foster parents’ hard work, the same respect and gratefulness is felt towards all of you!”

Moments like this remind us that the work we do is truly a partnership between dedicated foster parents and a community that cares. We are so grateful for every foster parent who opens their home and heart to children in need 🩵💙
