The Next Chapter Feature Film Series (FFS) concludes for the season on Thursday, 5/14 starting at 10:15 AM in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to showing a 2025 psychological thriller about a widowed mother’s first date in years taking a terrifying turn when she’s bombarded with anonymous threatening messages on her phone during their upscale dinner. This film stars Meghann Fahy, Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson, and Jeffery Self. Rated PG-13, this film lasts 1 hour, 35 minutes and includes Closed Captions.

This is the last week to check out the historic American Revolution Experience at Freeman Branch Library before it moves to another HCPL location!

Sponsored by the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution, this interactive exhibit features display panels and storytelling kiosks that teach about the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation.

The Next Chapter Monday Matinee continues Monday, 5/11 at 2:00 PM in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to seeing a 2002 Disney animated film where a runaway genetic experiment from a faraway planet, crash-lands on Earth. As he wreaks havoc on the Hawaiian Islands, he becomes the mischievous adopted alien "puppy" of an independent little girl and learns about loyalty, friendship, and 'ohana, the Hawaiian tradition of family.
