🌫️ Dust Control Application Happening This Week 🌫️

Public Works is applying DUST/BLOKR to several of our dirt roads over the next three days. During this time, we are asking all residents to drive very slowly through treated areas.

Driving too fast can cause the product to splash onto your vehicle, where it may dry into a cement‑like coating. Slower speeds help the material settle properly and keep your vehicle clean.

The product being applied — Cypher Environmental’s DUST/BLOKR — is safe for people, pets, and the environment. It simply needs time to cure on the road surface.

Thank you for helping us keep Houston’s roads in good shape and dust levels down for everyone. 💚

For more information about DUST/BLOKR visit their website:

DUST/BLOKR® is a non-corrosive and environmentally-friendly alternative to road salts, that offers superior road dust control results.

From Alaska DNR - Division of Forestry & Fire Protection - DFFP :

The Matanuska-Susitna valley will be entering into a burn permit suspension at 0800am on Monday, June 1st. This is due to increasing fire danger, lower relative humidity, and limited firefighting resources statewide. A burn permit suspension means no burning of burn barrels, debris piles, or lawn burns. Campfires smaller than 3ft in diameter for the purpose of warming, cooking, or signaling are still allowed. Adequate clearance away from combustibles and attendance until cold to the touch are still required for campfires. Any approved fire, even a small one should be undertaken with extreme caution and vigilance at this time of year.
