Starting September strong! 💪🐶

A huge thank you to the Whole Foods team for bringing their crew out for some team-building while giving back to our shelter pets! 🐾 Their team spent time socializing and walking a few dozen pups, giving them some much-needed attention, enrichment, and love.

We’re so grateful for community partners who take the time to make a difference in the lives of our pets. ❤️

🌧️ Heavy rain may be headed our way this week. Is your pet prepared?

A tropical disturbance could bring periods of heavy rain to Harris County, increasing the risk of flooding in some areas. Now is a good time to make sure you and your pets are ready.

• Keep pets indoors and bring outdoor pets inside before heavy rain arrives.
• Make sure your pet is wearing a collar with identification and that their microchip information is up to date.
• Keep a current photo of your pet in case you become separated.
• If you need to evacuate, take your pets with you and never leave them behind.

Stay weather-aware and help keep your pets safe this week.

Clear the Shelters may be nearing the finish line, but our staff still have a few more favorites they want you to meet. 🐶❤️

This time, they chose some of the older pups who can sometimes be overlooked simply because of their age. But spend a little time with them, and you’ll see what we see: personality, loyalty, sweetness, and SO much love to give.

✨ Here they are, in all their glory! ✨

Our staff picked their favorites, and now we’re hoping you’ll give these seasoned pups a second look. They may have a few more years under their collars, but that just means they have even more love, companionship, and couch cuddles to offer. 🥹
