Happy Monday! It's the start of another busy week of operations at the Channelview Foundation of Hope.

EHCEC is honored to partner with Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia to offer much-needed services at this new hub, helping individuals and families easily connect to social and economic support programs close to home. Harris County Public Health Department and the Harris County Sheriff's Office are also housed at this location.

If you missed the ribbon-cutting grand opening celebration last month, stop by and meet our incredible on-site team pictured here, including Community Engagement Navigators Patricia Escalante and Nohemi Sanchez, as well as Beverly Walker, Regional Director of Community Resilience and Ecosystems.

EHCEC Chief Operations Officer America Mederes and Chief Administrative Officer Christina Alley are also pictured collaborating at the FOH.

Ever wondered what goes into safety planning and incident response for industrial complexes in East Harris County? EHCEC recently joined several community and industry stakeholders for a firsthand look at some of the specialized equipment, resources, and community partnerships that maintain preparedness in this region.

This showcase deepened appreciation for the industries that power East Harris County’s economy and invest in its resilience. The hands-on demonstrations and conversations with professionals from Channel Industries Mutual Aid (CIMA), Harris County Fire Marshal's Office, Harris County Pollution Control Services, Valero Houston Refinery, and Kinder Morgan Pasadena, Tx Refinery inspired pride and confidence in the teamwork that keeps our communities safe.

Many thanks to Galena Park/Jacinto City Community-Industry Partnership for coordinating and hosting this interactive event.

🏈💙When a community rallies around its students, amazing things happen.

We’re proud to celebrate the Sheldon ISD Panthers and their historic state championship season alongside our incredible partner, Reliant Energy ®.

Thanks to Reliant’s generosity, these student-athletes and their families enjoyed a well-deserved night out, a chance to celebrate the hard work, discipline, and perseverance that made this season so memorable.

At EHCEC - East Harris County Empowerment Council, we believe every young person deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Partnerships like this show what’s possible when organizations come together to invest in students, create opportunities, and strengthen our community.

Thank you, Reliant Energy, for helping us recognize these outstanding young leaders and create memories they’ll carry long after the final whistle.

Help us cheer on the Panthers and celebrate the power of community partnerships! 👇Click like and drop a comment for these remarkable student-athletes.

East Harris County Empowerment Council was proud to sponsor and participate in the Swinging for Success Golf Tournament Fundraiser hosted by Communities In Schools - Baytown. We had an incredible time meeting golfers, community partners, educators, and supporters who all came together for one important cause: helping local students thrive.

Congratulations to all of the tournament's top-scoring golfers and to the lucky winners of our EHCEC raffle prizes! A special shoutout goes to Jeff Romig, an athletic trainer for Sheldon ISD who took home our featured wedge club prize for precision on the green. 🏌️‍♂️👏

We also applaud the creative students who featured their artwork in the silent auction. The talent and imagination on display drew enthusiastic bidding and served as a wonderful reminder of why investing in students matters.

Thank you, CIS-Baytown, for hosting such a meaningful event and to everyone who helped make the day a success. Together, we're building stronger opportunities for students and families across the region.

A fantastic day on the green at Stonebridge At Newport in .
