Watkins Middle School Named for the former principal of Cypress-Fairbanks High School, Carlos Watkins Junior High School opened its doors in 1982. Mr.

Watkins Middle School’s Mission is to:

Promote learning

Inspire dreams

Engage in positive relationships

Create high expectations

Encourage students' life-long learning. Watkins retired as principal of Cy-Fair High school in 1989, but we still look forward to his visits, and each year he honors us by presenting the "Carlos Watkins Scholastic Achievement Award" to the students with the highest

grade point averages in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. Watkins Parent Partnership

Community involvement and parental support is vital to the success of our vision and goal to be recognized as an EXEMPLARY school. Working as a partnership, we can share the commitment to create an environment in which every student is successful. Volunteer parents give unselfishly of their time and talents in supporting programs and activities on campus throughout the year. We encourage all parents to be involved in the school experience of their children.
