The Hill at Sims Greenway Hike Bike Trail The Hill at Sims Greenway, located between Loop 610 and Beltway 8 on the east side of Texas Freeway 288, 100 acre stormwater detention basin.

PGAL provided overall management, analysis and design services for a seemingly straightforward flood control project that was creatively adapted to include bayou beautification and addition of recreational amenities for residents. Over five miles of family-friendly hike and bike trails complement the Hills at Sims Greenway, which also serves as a 200-acre regional detention facility for the surrou

nding community. Hardy, native landscaping is interlaced with walking trails that are constructed of decomposed granite paths and connecting pedestrian bridges that span the bayou. The total project also includes over eight miles of unimproved single-track trails designed for off road biking and hiking.
