⛈️ WEATHER UPDATE | MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2026

Dear Patients and Families,

Centers for Mobility Prosthetics is closely monitoring Tropical Depression Five as it develops in the Gulf and the potential impact it may have on weather and travel conditions throughout the Houston area. The National Hurricane Center currently has a Tropical Storm Warning in effect for portions of the Upper Texas Coast and southwestern Louisiana.

At this time, our clinic plans to remain OPEN and operate under normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1. However, because weather conditions can change quickly, we are taking things day by day and will communicate any changes to our office hours or scheduled appointments as soon as possible.

If you have an appointment with us, please use your best judgment when traveling. Allow yourself extra time, use caution on the roads, and please do not put yourself at risk trying to make it to an appointment. If conditions in your area make it unsafe for you to travel, give our office a call so we can assist you.

Big smiles for a big milestone! 🎉

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of delivering Mr. Wesley’s final, definitive below-the-knee prosthesis. Mr. Wesley is a first-time patient with Centers for Mobility Prosthetics, but he is not new to wearing a prosthetic leg. We are honored that he trusted our team with this next step in his prosthetic care.

A definitive prosthesis is designed to support everyday comfort, fit, and function, and we are excited to see Mr. Wesley continue moving forward with confidence.

Last week marked exactly one year since Eduardo lost his leg — and look at that smile! 💪 Standing proudly with our prosthetist Jason, he shows how far determination and the right support can take you. His joy is contagious, and we couldn’t be more honored to be part of his journey back to mobility.

❄️ Winter Weather Update

We are closely monitoring this weekend’s winter weather and road conditions.

Depending on safety conditions, our clinic may be closed on Monday, January 26. We are taking this day by day and will make a final decision based on how safe travel conditions are.

If a closure is necessary, patients scheduled for Monday will be contacted directly to reschedule.
